Two of bodybuilding’s greatest took center stage for a surprise posedown. CenterPodium is known in the bodybuilding and fitness world for “First in Class” events such as the NPC Mother Lode, NPC West Coast Classic, NPC Dexter Jackson Classic, NPC Tahoe Show, IFBB Pro League International Russia Championship, and the IFBB Legion Sports Fest. I have been the fitness photographer for all CenterPodium shows for almost 10 years now, during which I have had the great honor of photographing and meeting some dedicated and amazing individuals. It truly invigorates me every time I photograph a Bodybuilding show to analyze at my personal fitness goals. As a Reno-Tahoe based photographer, I do a fair bit of traveling for photography jobs. The Dexter Jackson Classic in Tennessee was my first trip to the state. Southern hospitality was absolutely on display for this event. I met some of the nicest competitors, vendors, NPC judges, and hotel staff. In a day and age where most people are glued to their phones and polite face to face interaction is becoming more and more rare, the people I talked with, worked with, and photographed were wonderful. Every CenterPodium show has something special and different about it that makes it a bit unique from the other CenterPodium shows. At the Legion Sports Fest, it is the IFBB pro show and Sports Expo. The destination, beautiful surroundings, and delicious doughnuts make the Tahoe Show. In the case of the Dexter Jackson Classic, you guessed what makes it special-2008 Mr. Olympia winner Dexter Jackson! If you are newer to the sport of competitive bodybuilding as some of you may be that follow my photography work, Dexter Jackson is a legend. Dexter Jackson has won more titles as an IFBB professional bodybuilder than any other pro in history. Dexter a.k.a. “The Blade” placed 4th place at the 2019 Olympia at the age of 49! The winner of the Olympia this year was none other than Brandon Curry who decided to come and support the Dexter Jackson Classic with his son. Brandon has had an incredible year winning both the 2019 Arnold Classic and the Olympia! Therefore, I know everyone was extremely grateful he took the time out of his busy schedule to support the show, all the competitors, and the competitors’ families. He absolutely gave the audience an awesome show! As a professional event photographer, I am always looking for a moment to freeze in time, to immortalize, and to tell a story.
